The Gilmore Train Station development spans 1,460,000 sq ft at the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Gilmore Avenue in Burnaby, British Columbia. Built around the Gilmore SkyTrain Station, it is a major transit-oriented development that strengthens mobility and connectivity across the city while shaping the urban identity of the surrounding Brentwood district.

The Challenge of Gilmore Train Station

AMC was commissioned to deliver the tender-stage scope, preparing all design and technical documentation in line with project requirements and industry standards. The team applied value-focused engineering to optimize solutions while fully preserving the original design intent—providing a reliable basis for project execution.

BIM Modeling and Coordination

Acting as BIM lead on the design-stage architectural scope, AMC produced a complete, fully coordinated architectural BIM model to LOD 300, containing every detail required to meet the client’s standards. All multidisciplinary coordination was carried out in accordance with the approved project standards, resolving clashes early to minimize conflicts on site.

Documentation and Deliverables

Building on AMC’s own BIM standards—accuracy, clarity, and cross-discipline integration—the team reviewed, updated, and enhanced the architectural and interior design models to the highest quality level. Deliverables included a comprehensive drawing package (plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules), each reflecting the latest model updates and coordination results to support smooth construction.
